- they're being far too lenient about who they let join act- there are way too many peole who just come to talk and eat, and its not a catholic teen group anymore, its just competition to FYI.
- a good number of people who were there last year say its alot different, not really for good. the activities are less interesting, more geared towards 5th graders or so, there's very little control over the kids- mostly because so many of them aren't the ..desirable {to overgeneralize, ppl who havent been to yop or cyfm}...type to have there, theres' about no real spiritual stuff going on. oh, and also, the song Sanctuary was getting old about 4 lifeteens ago lmao.
- we started working out this idea, like, you let ppl come to maybe a month's worth, 2 or so lifeteens, then if they want to stay in, they have to do monthly service hours- goes for everyone. this:
- filters out all the people who arent serious enough about it to care and who wouldnt consider it worth doing hours for (dont make it cost money b/c then you'll lose the ppl we want to keep and its less of a cost to the 'others' cuz its not as personal/no cost to them- parents might pay, dont care about the money, etc)
- good way to uphold the reputation as a 'catholic teen group' (& keep active in the community)
- figuring that the ppl who have been to yop or cyfm wont mind a whole lot doing some extra work for this.
